Introduction
- After venturing into Singapore as a landscape photographer, something hit me.
Singapore isn't just about a safe and comfortable place to live in. It is a place where endless explorations of architecture and landscape photography could be met.
- The architectural designs in Singapore amazes me. From the Waterfall Vortex to Supertree Groves to Merlion to Marina Bay Sands. Not only the designs are stunning but they integrated well with the environment.
Main Singapore Landmarks
Jewel Waterfall Vortex
- The Changi Waterfall Vortex is no more than five minutes from the airport. Its height and curvy structures allows people to viewed the waterfall from all levels of department store. From a photographer perspective, taking shots when the train is about to pass through the waterfall is one of the greatest moments they could ever experience.
Garden By The Bay Super Trees
- The Supertrees at Garden By The Bay never cease to amaze me. The structure looks clearly artificial. But they blend in with its environment naturally. Furthermore, it makes the scene feel nature-made and futuristic. I've never thought that two concepts: artificial and natural could blend in so well together.
The Merlion
- The Merlion mainly represents Singapore's growth today. The statue combines the lion and fish together. The Lion means Singapura while the fish represents Singapore as a fishing village in the early days
Marina Bay Sands
- Marina Bay Sands is the major landmark in Singapore. Not only for photographic purposes, but also for other aspects of tourism. Department Store, Hotels, Casino and Photography are combined into one. It is no exaggeration to say that it entirely represents what Singapore is today.
